Japan flag
  • The Japan flag or Hinomaru was the flag of Japan throughout WWII
  • During WWII, the Japan flag was used as a good luck charm and a prayer to wish the soldier back safely from battle

  • In 1999, the Law Regarding the National Flag & National Anthem chose both the Japan flag (Hinomaru) and the national anthem (Kimigayo) as the national symbols of Japan
